Argos sale reduces ‘solid’ oak dining table by 50%

Argos has slashed the price of the Habitat Nel Oak Dining Table and four Oak Chairs by half price, dropping it to under £300.

The oak dining set comes complete with four chars. It’s great for small families, as it’s pretty compact and can fit into a corner or become the centrepiece of a dining room. If you’re looking for something bigger, you could opt for an extendable table, like the Elements Holmes six to eight Seater Dining Table from Dunelm, but it costs £499 without any chair.

The Argos dining set has rounded edges and a simple design with an open ridge that runs down the centre. The oak is a neutral shade, but you could easily add some colour with chair cushions, place mats or a colourful floral arrangement,

Oak is strong and durable, which is why it’s a popular choice for furniture. However, it can also be costly, and cheaper furniture is often designed with an oak effect, so getting a solid oak set for under £300 is worth taking advantage of.

The width of the table is spacious enough to seat someone at either end, so you could technically fit six people. You can buy an extra matching set of two chairs separately for £106, reduced from £160. Shoppers are calling them ”stylish, solid, and relatively easy to put together.”

Or, for the same price as the set of table and chairs, you can also get the Habitat Nel Oak Dining Table and two Oak Benches for £285, so you can neatly tuck the benches in when you’re not using them. According to the Argos reviews, it’s ”space-saving” and ”sturdy but light to move”.

Alternatively, the Heidi Solid Oak 4-6 Seater Dining Table from Dusk is discounted from £579 to £389 and seats four to six people. It doesn’t come with chairs, so you’ll have to buy them separately, but Dusk has plenty to choose from.
