There’s a larger grille, some slight color changes to some trim panels, and the ST gets red brake calipers and magnetite-painted wheels, all of which can be added to the ST-Line via the ST-Line Street package.

The 2025 Explorer is available with either front- or four-wheel drive, and no matter which engine you have—the 2.3L or 3.0L—both powertrains can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Powering the 2025 Ford Explorer is either a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that makes 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, or if you upgrade to the ST trim, you get a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost that makes 400 hp and 415 lb-ft.
