The biggest Jeep is ready to go further off-road and help you stay out there for longer, or at least that’s what it says on the brochure. The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland package promises to help you make the most of its maximum-sized capability by giving you a new black roof!

Okay, there’s a lot more to it than that. Including all-terrain tires, 20-inch wheels, and underbody protection to help make sure your expensive luxury Jeep doesn’t get too beat up when you take seven passengers into the wilderness.

The Overland package doesn’t give you much that you can’t get on other Wagoneer models, but it does make it a lot easier (and more affordable) to get them.

Overland Includes All The Best Off-Road Bits

The Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition bows simultaneously at the New York International Auto Show and at the iconic Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The Wagoneer is normally better suited to the hustle and bustle of downtown driving duties, but this model puts its thumb on the off-road side of the scale.

Jeep starts the package with a new set of 32-inch-tall all-terrain tires. There’s some fashion in that form because the big tires ride on 20-inch wheels painted black with machined highlights. That wheel and outer diameter combo should give them enough sidewall to handle most off-road needs, even if they’re not tall enough to take this behemoth rock climbing.

The Special Edition is largely about packaging stuff that normally requires multiple option boxes to be checked. That includes the Quadra-Lift air suspension, which gives the Wagoneer up to 10 inches of ground clearance and a much cushier ride and Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system with a low-range transfer case and electronic limited-slip rear differential.

The trailer tow package – which lets it tow up to 10,000 pounds – is also part of the deal.

A sub-brand seemed like a good idea at the time, but it only caused confusion.

A black roof is new and also a first for the Wagoneer grade. Two-tone is normally reserved for Grand Wagoneer. It comes with black trim, including the lower fascia and the fender flares.

It also includes the roof rack crossbars we mentioned above and a range of usually optional safety features like side distance warning and park assist, plus leather seating and the big moonroof.

Limited Production, And This Time, There’s An Actual Number

Jeep is only going to build 2,000 copies, starting from $72,740 plus destination. With that price, the Wagoneer Overland starts to make more sense. Adding the air suspension, roof, trailer tow package, and the rest brings the price of the Wagoneer Series II starting point up by 10 grand. With the Overland, it costs $5,795, and you get a black roof to go with it.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer Specs

One other change is new for all 2025 Wagoneer 4×4 models, and that’s the addition of Jeep Off-Road Pages+ with Adventure Guides. The built-in app gives owners a two-year trial of 200-plus trail guides that include Jeep Badge of Honor trails, downloadable maps, difficulty ratings, and other features that make off-roading a little easier.
