Dunelm’s ‘butter soft’ premium linen bedding now on sale
Dunelm has launched a pre-summer sale for homeware, with up to 50% off selected items. This is an ideal time for homeowners to pick out some new seasonal bits to revamp their spaces ahead of warmer climes.
The retailer’s bedding department is one of its most popular, with hundreds, if not thousands, of duvet sets to choose from. Thankfully, some of them are on sale, including selected premium lines that usually cost upwards of £100 for bigger king sizes.
Dunelm’s Edited Life Collection is one of its mid- to premium ranges, and one of its most popular sets is now on sale. The Linen Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set was originally £90 – £140, but it has been reduced to £72 – £112.
Shoppers can choose from four sizes, including single, double, king and super king. The set, which has been described as ‘butter soft’ by reviewers, comes in three neutral hues, including natural, terracotta and olive.
Another retailer with a wide range of duvet sets is Dusk. For shoppers who like neutral tones but want bedding with more of a pattern, the Livia set is striped but still minimalist.
Elsewhere, Argos also has a large collection of divet sets, including bold, printed options for the maximalists. This white and red paisley-printed Wylder Albus is £40-£54 in double, king, or king-size options.
Available in pink, blue or beige stripes, it is on sale for £32-£49, down from £45-£60. It’s available in single, double, king and super king.
Dunelm’s linen bedding set has more than 80 customer reviews, 68 of which have been rated five stars. One said: “The fabric is excellent – it washes beautifully and has become butter soft after 3 weeks.
“It breathes well during warmer weather and is very comfortable to sleep under. It compares well with the very expensive version of linen bedding I’ve experienced on holiday. The natural colour goes well with my decor too.”
Another didn’t like the colour, saying: “I’m a bit upset that they have replaced the Edited Life original Rowan colour with these new colours. Rowan was a beautiful, warm, soft greige that would go with anything. Please bring it back!”
A happier buyer added: “I am very pleased with this king-size linen duvet set. It washes very well and has a lovely linen texture. The generous sizing allows for a little shrinkage. The colour is very nice. No flat sheets available to use with these, though. Had to purchase elsewhere.”
And another concluded: “Lovely quality, never had linen bedding before, it is so cosy and comfortable. I washed it before using it as I always do with new bedding, which I think made it feel softer. Well worth the price tag. I highly recommend it.”
