Simple ‘two-second’ method will leave your home ‘smelling amazing’

Whether you are having guests over or doing essential house cleaning, a mum on TikTok has shared three quick and easy tips to keep your house smelling “amazing,” but it’s not what you’re expecting.
The creator, who goes by the name of Jess | Home, Cleaning & Home, has over 271,000 followers for her cleaning and lifestyle videos.
Kicking off, Jess beams: “Three quick and easy ways to make your house smell amazing before having guests round!
“Tip number one, is to get some tumble dryer sheets and pop these in your cushions. It takes two seconds to do and the room will smell amazing.”
Cushions are a hassle to wash, and a dryer sheet will allow you to leave them for longer. Other areas you can put dryer sheets include suitcases, clothes drawers and gym bags to keep clothes smelling fresh.
This is handy for any guests snooping around your house as they will be amazed at the beautiful scent in every room.
Jess went on to share tip number two, she said: “Get some fabric conditioner and mix this with water, then soak a cloth and rub this along your radiators, this will leave your house smelling so so nice.”
This hack is particularly great for the colder seasons as once the radiators turn on, the heat will maximise the fragrance. However, homeowners can use this hack throughout all the seasons.
Lastly and quite strangely, Jess shared: “Tip number three is to get some toilet roll and some Zoflora and run the Zoflora on the cardboard middle bit of the toilet roll and this will leave your bathroom smelling really fresh.”
Bathrooms are arguably the smelliest rooms in houses not only because it’s where people use the toilet but also because the amount of water used in a bathroom, especially hot water, can lead to a musty smell.
This can be off-putting for guests and homeowners especially with air fresheners only lasting a few hours. However, with Jess’s hack, your bathroom will have an extra aid in smelling amazing.
