Hennessey Finally Steps Up To The Level Of Ferrari And Bugatti In One Crucial Way

This is your chance to live the hypercar dream. Hennessey Special Vehicles has just added a new configurator to its site, and it has more than 500,000 possible combinations to let you design the F5 of your dreams. That includes all of the body styles of the Venom F5, and a range of color combos.

Fans Have Been Begging For This

Hennessey says that since it launched the 1,817-horsepower Venom F5, it has had an overwhelming response from fans. They want to build their own, and even if they might not be able to buy it today, a dream is one of the things that makes life worth living. It’s why Ferrari and even Bugatti, despite the latter selling about a dozen cars a year, offer one of these great tools.

How do you make a 1,817-hp hypercar more visceral, more engaging, more thrilling to drive? You stick a six-speed gated manual in it, of course.

To help them out and to give potential buyers an option they could use from home, the techies at Hennessey created this new tool. It has many of the available options, and it shows you what your car looks like on the Hennessey Pennzoil Proving Ground in Texas.

If you don’t like the current colors, don’t worry. Hennessey will add more of what it calls the most exciting options over time, like the all-carbon options available for the F5 Revolution.

Hennessey Wants You To Show Your Own

Think you’ve created the best spec? Share it (the author’s is the one you see above), and you could win a VIP experience. The top prize includes a trip to the company’s HQ in Texas to get a shot at the full configurator along with the design team. That configurator runs on a more powerful computer and includes photorealistic renderings of the car in motion for buyers who want to make the trek (or do it virtually).

Hennessey Venom F5 Thinks It Could Steal The AMG ONE’s Nürburgring Record

Hennessey isn’t making any promises, but it thinks the Venom F5 could take the Nurburgring record from Mercedes-AMG.

28 owners have already received their own perfectly-specced cars. Hennessey says that it has sent coupe, drop-top roadster, Revolution, and Special Series models to customers in the US and around the world. It should be easy to spot them – just look for the car’s extreme styling.

Or listen for the engine. The Venom’s 6.6-liter twin-turbo Fury V8 that makes about a billion horsepower and three-quarters of a billion torques (Ed.: That’s 1,817 hp and 1,193 lb-ft of torque) should be easy enough to hear. Even if you’re at the track, where with enough space to play, it should be able to blast through 300 miles per hour or well through your personal comfort zone.
