Is a wireless device charger worth $180? Nissan thinks so because that’s the difference in price between the 2024 Nissan Ariya EV and the 2025 model year. It’s actually a pretty small change for a new model year these days. It’s still cheaper than the MY2023 Ariya to boot after Nissan slashed around $4,000 from the price of its electric crossover after its first year. If you want the larger 87 kWh (useable) battery pack instead of the standard 63 kWh unit, though, the price goes up a little bit more. Nissan has shrunk its wide range of trim options, with the Venture+ and Empower+ grades gone from the lineup. Regardless, the base price has risen considerably.

The Evolve model also gets less range, at 289 miles versus 304. Both the price difference and the range difference are due to extra standard features. Evolve means 360 cameras, a panoramic roof, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and a few other goodies.

For 2025, Nissan has gained access to more of the Tesla Supercharger EV charge network, and the Ariya can plug in there with a $235 adapter. Nissan says it will start fitting its EVs with the Tesla NACS port, though it’s not clear when exactly or if it will wait for the next model year.
